How do I apply for car finance?

It's your choice. You can:

• c) fill in the 'free call-back' form, and we'll call at a time that suits you

What paperwork will I need?

A copy of:

• a) Your passport
• b) Your Full UK drivers licence
• c) 3 months' bank statements
• d) 2 utility bills

How long will it take to get a decision?

It should take less than an hour.

Do you do 'bad credit' car loans?

Yes we do. We specialise in helping people who've been turned down for car finance elsewhere. Whatever your credit rating, we could still find you the car loan for your budget.

Can you find me a car as well as car finance?

Yes. We can find you a car loan – or a car loan and a car from dealership near you. It's your choice.

Do you sell cars?

No, we don't sell cars - although we can find you a car as well as your car loan, if that's what you want.

How much money can I borrow?

At Think Cars, we want to help you find an affordable car finance deal. So the amount you can borrow will depend on your income, your expenditure and your credit rating.

How much will it cost me per month?

It depends on how much you borrow and how quickly you pay it back. Once you've told us where you stand financially, we'll be able to tell you what your options are.

Can you insure my repayments?

Yes. We offer Payment Protection Plan (PPP) insurance. As the name says, PPP protects your payments – it can make them on your behalf if you're unable to because of sickness, accident or unemployment. For more on PPP, click here.

Do you provide protection against insurance shortfall?

Yes – it's called GAP (Guaranteed Asset Protection) insurance. If your car is stolen or written off, GAP insurance will pay the difference between the amount your insurance pays you and the amount you still owe on the car finance agreement. For more on this, click here.

Who do I pay?

Your car loan will be paid directly to the dealer once you've chosen your car. The monthly loan repayments will then be paid directly to the lender we recommend.

How long will my offer be valid?

Under normal circumstances, 28 days – but we should be able to arrange an extension if your car purchase is delayed for some reason.
