Insurance adjustment fees affecting car scrappage scheme

New research from uSwitch.com has claimed that many motorists hoping to benefit from the Government`s car scrappage scheme are paying expensive mid-term adjustment fees on their insurance policies.
Motorists who change terms on their insurance policies, including a change of vehicle, are often faced with adjustment fees that can prove costly.
Uswitch.com reports that the most expensive of these adjustment fees stands at £35, with the average being £19.40.
A spokesperson for Think Insure said: "There are many things to consider when choosing an insurance policy. One deal might be cheaper than another, but policy holders should be sure that their insurance covers their individual needs.
"That`s why we advise people to speak with an insurance expert, who can explain the `ins and outs` of various insurance deals, before choosing a policy."
