Insurance: Men `spending more on dental care`

Research from Tesco Dental Insurance has suggested that men spend more on looking after their teeth than their female counterparts.
Tesco said that a third of British women claimed they had spent nothing on dental treatment over the past 12 months, compared with 27% of men.
A spokesperson for Think Insure said that people should be aware of the importance of insurance when it comes to things like dental care.
"Dental work can be expensive, and so even if someone doesn`t need any work done for several years, it might only take one problem to really stretch their finances.
"Insurance offers security and means that the policy holder is protected against unexpected costs, which is especially important in the current climate.
"It`s also important that people shop around for their insurance to make sure they are getting the best deal available. A professional insurance adviser can make that a lot easier."
