Lender announces intermediary remortgage deals
15 January 2009
A UK lender has announced that three of its intermediary partners will be offering new remortgage deals.
Alliance & Leicester said that the offers represented its commitment to increase its volume of lending this year.
Legal & General will be providing consumers with the option of a two-year fixed-rate deal at 3.89 per cent available on loans of up to £250,000.
Meanwhile, PMS and Openwork will be offering remortgage offers of 3.69 and 4.49 per cent respectively on two-year fixed-rate mortgages.
"These exclusive deals for three of our key intermediary partners demonstrate Alliance & Leicester`s increased appetite for mortgage lending in 2009 and a clear commitment to the intermediary market," stated Adrian Whittaker, key account director at Abbey for Intermediaries and Alliance & Leicester.
Last week, Britannia announced cuts in its five- and ten-year fixed-rate mortgages following the Bank of England`s decision to reduce the base rate of interest from two per cent to 1.5 per cent.
